Don't know but I'd just like to say - holy smokeballs batman, that was a big fire!

Although having a water point with a pump that can deliver 1,000 litres a minute means going for water doesn't take you from the fireground for quite as long. On the flipside it means you don't get much of a rest either!

Hearing "Quinns Rock control" being called - I assume that's the western control point for the Bullsbrook fire.

I haven't been listening to the Bullsbrook / Pinjar incident. Anyone remember what Comms Plan or Incident Repeater channel they are using?

MCE 3 I think.

It was MCE2 originally at the start of the fire but then I suspect it grew beyond that so they were possibly using MCE3 as well or some hybrid mishmash of the two.

I totally understand people are looking for information on fires, but that is better done in this thread - you can "Subscribe to forum" to get email alerts on posts to any threads in the DFES (or any of the other) sections on WARSUG. Or you can keep hitting 'refresh' and look for the orange icons as you prefer

Thanks Doug - still can't quite conceptualise just how big this fire is. From Bullsbrook to the coast...erg...

It's 'only' 6600 hectares or 16000 acres apparently

Looks like I'm out on (hopefully) mop up duty from 1600-2400.

Fire has just gone to emergency warning again. All responding vehicle told to change road conditions to fire call from normal road.
