Thanks smokey. I thought that most pumps would carry a thermal camera. But obviously not. The helicopter with the thermal camera was flying over the Bertram fire this morning for a while.

Perth 2nd and 3rd arrived to possible flat fire on Cambrigde Street...
Thank hell it was a false alarm, scared the hell outta me when initially investigating all I saw is smoke billowing out of the front door.

Re: General fire discussions
Interesting to note this morning from my office, saw all 3 Perth FRS Trucks out at almost the same time.
Perth 2nd at a DBA just before William St on St.Georges Tce 07:27
Perth 1st and 3rd Fire Call heading up the Terrace. 07:30
UPDATE: 07:37 - Now Perth 2nd clear of DBA - heading Firecall towards Kings Park way (presuming with other FRS trucks.)
UPDATE: 07:46 - Don't know what's happening but Perth CLP and Perth LT - Firecall same direction as others (towards Kings Park way on the Terrace).

Re: General fire discussions
geez only took fesa approx 8hrs to update fire at lancelin, even though it was cranking along at 5/10km per hour that sounds big enough to me, good work guys in keeping people updated even though you say their is no threat to life or property people are still curious to know what is going on especially people that live up that way.maybe the defence force was trying to keep it top secret hoping nobody would see or hear about this incident
