Are you sure they were both Guildford? Being a VFRS they would normally have red trucks. Unless they have BFS truck on loan whilst one of theirs is out of action?

Wundowie,
Some of the country VFRS brigades choose a white vehicle for cost saving. Around 8 grand for the red paint to be added i beleive. Unsure if the saved money is provided to the original brigade however.

Dress Uniforms??? Is there any BFB brigades that issue dress uniforms to their members? If so are they long sleeve shirts or short?? FESA suggest that VBFB should wear short sleeve shirt to attend ANZAC day in Perth City.

Ours are all short sleeve. Don't recall seeing any long sleeve 'Dress Blue' shirts.

From previous Anzac Day marches through Perth, firefighters wear short sleeve shirts with a wide brim hat while management wear long sleeve shirts with the peak cap (like the old police hats). I think its very sad that with the yearly budget of FESTA, they cant afford to purchase atleast 1 shirt for everyone. Give us an identity, give us a sence of belonging, give us pride in what we do and who we represent.

Wanneroo Central & Wanneroo Support VBFB Issue Dress Uniforms to members that have been in the brigade longer than 1 yr.
I got the choice of short or long sleeve shirt, I chose the short sleeve shirt anyway.
