OK, its cheaper to fly the 3 Helicopters across the country. The S61 was shipped to/from Melbourne, assembled/disassembled there and flown across. (The tanks stay on and the hoses come off)

As for the helicopters and any General Aviation category aircraft they can fly for 50hrs before maintenance, or 100hrs pending on the maintenance requirements of the manufacturer and also CASA

The choppers were all ready to rock and roll as of the weekend just gone (all had tanks and hoses attached and positioned in their 2 by 2 spot.

coming from someone who has been dropped on or near numerous times they are a valuble asset on the fireground.

Hi all,

Currently tracking Helitak 760, 767, 669 and 611 south east of the airport.
760 currently searching for a new water source, tower giving them advice.

Bet someone in their swimming pool is gonna get a fright :)
