Think they screwed up with their fireground channel... 36 is in Byford.

the fire was fully extinguished about an hours ago, it was classified as 4th alarm

Stats, every 10 years, this season is number 10, The Weather is going to be drier, hotter than average with less rain. Its shaping up to be a very bad one, last year was very quiet considering.

Unknown on Alarm level - but - Fire in Gidgegannup...

Fire burning in Gidgegannup
Firefighters are battling a bushfire in Gidgegannup this afternoon.

The blaze is burning near the intersection of Reen Road and Toodyay Road.

People who live in the area are advised to close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air-conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.

Kalamanda 1:4 on route asked in fire out - 6IP replied "affirmative". Interesting development. Must be huge mop up is Swan ICV coordinating.

"Time of issue: 2:20pm

Date of issue: Tuesday 10 November 2009
Bush fire warning for Gidgegannup
A bush fire is burning in the western part of Gidgegannup along Toodyay Road between Reen Road and The Springs Road.
At this stage there is no threat to lives and/or homes but people are asked to remain alert in case the situation changes.

FESA was alerted to the fire at 11am and currently there has been 30 hectares burnt.
Forty Bush Fire Service volunteers and Fire and Rescue Service firefighters from nine brigades are on the scene.
The City of Swan is managing the fire with assistance from FESA and WA Police.
Firefighters saved a shed though fencing has been lost
A number of roads are closed including Toodyay Road between Reen Road and The Springs Road. Reen Road and The Springs Road are also closed and motorists should avoid the area."

FESA Chaplain has arrived.

Another fire on Bailup rd... Just a little further up toodyay rd... CFM mundaring on his way up to it.
Locked
