Bushfire threatens homes at Hamilton Hill
October 15, 2008 01:06pm
FIREFIGHTERS from 12 stations battling to save homes from a bushfire at Hamilton Hill have had help from a wind change.

The fire blazing on either side of Stock Rd between Forrest and Phoenix roads had burnt about 20ha, the Fire and Emergency Services Authority said about 1pm.

Just got back from the Riley Road fires, 3 seperate fires. Also sounds like there is a fire in Morangup again and one in Mahogany creek.

Out near The Lakes - cross of Gt Eastern and Ash Road.

The Chidlow LT called in and said they could handle it with their 4-4 so not out of control :)

(Not trying to be smug about my listening skills or anything - just that I listen pretty closely to any that are in our general area)

edit: Chidlow just reported fire is now contained, property owner did not have permit and is being "educated"

Remember folks to keep the details in here
a) on confirmed third alarm (or above) bush/scrub fires
b) short and to the point.

This thread is used by people with mobiles trying to gather detail about fires that may be possibly in their suburb.

3rd Alarm scrub fire in Scientific Park, Secret Harbour. Burning since around 11.30. Multiple FRS and BFB in attendance. Members from here are possibly in attendence. Possibly could give a report on fire later

Chrisssss,

was burning quite well. prob 1/4 burnt this fire.

Secret harbour, Mandurah 1st replaced by mandurah 2nd, baldivis, singleton and rockingham 2nd.

Calm are there with 3 heavies and well and truly in the mop up phase.
