House fire overnight in Kallaroo. $300,000 damage.

3rd alarm with Duncraig, Wangara, SET, DM Metro and even ICV was called!

Caused by an electrical fault.

I have been working on this story all day (and News@Night were there last night  ). Watch ABCTV news tonight for the full story. Was home to the Mt Lawley "Cat Lady". House and yard was "packed to the rafters" with rubbish and overgrown plants. City of Stirling had declared the property "unfit for habitation". Fire believed to be accidental, started by candle.

The story has been listed in the News thread with a link to the Perth Now story & video.
