Scrub/crop fire at Green Range near Albany. DEC have sent their water bombers out there.

A fire has broken out on mundaring weir road about 30min ago calm are in attendance,mundaring are turning out,i work on a farm in mt helena and can see a fair bit of smoke building,could also hear helecopter over head, sorry calm have just cancelled arial support have it under control burnt approx 1 hectare mundaring frs and pauls valley stood down good work boys

Just heard Mundaring Chief leaving fire, under control, almost contained, only DEC vehicles now in attendance.

Offtopic-ish but ...

Interesting sight yesterday on the way back to my accommodation from the Grand Prix... Stood at a tram stop at the corner of Swanston and Collins Streets in Melbourne, when two fire applicances came howling down the tram lines on Collins street, lights and sirens going berserk. A third fire appliance came along Swanston. Not sure what they were attending, but they were in a heck of a hurry!

Tram lines appear to be convenient "emergency service lanes" when required ;)

can see smoke in the kwinana way south of the river any idea whats happening down there

yeh after what i saw maybe only 2nd alarm. large area of paddocks burnt with a couple houses that were under threat but not many appliances. helitacs 669 and 668. have a few pics that i may post later.

I've seen this recently in Adelaide - absolute terrific plan.... Perth needs a Tram Perth Airport - East Perth - Perth - West Perth - Subiaco / West Leederville - Cott

Heliattack 668 heading to fire in Bindoon on flight path to Bindoon Spotted another fire with heavy smoke coming from a diffrent region that had not yet be notified to 6IP.

i also heard helitack 767 and 670 turn out to bindoon fire along with an appliance from morunganup and toodjay central sorrow for towns spelling :oops:fire is in army base land, air intel cannot make contact with any ground crews at moment

when I was listening they said it wasnt on army land (bombing range), was in private pasture and they couldn't see any appliances ?
