Bit of advice guys - smoke chasing is NOT a good thing to be doing, particularly if you are both in brigades. You start getting seen at incidents before your brigade gets called or shows up, alarm bells will start ringing.

There is a real emphasis on fire investigation these days - you make a habit of doing this, you'll find yourself coming under close scrutiny VERY quickly indeed, regardless of whether you've done anything or not! This sort of thing looks REAL bad for vollies - theres been 2 busted the past 2 years over here, as it is :(

You'll also very quickly learn what a PAIN spectators are at incidents - best to stay at home and listen, rather than add to the problem!

i only went and had a look becuase i was in the area other wise i woulda gone home and waited at home for the call
