Maybe a sticky like the fire threads?

Well 'fire season' has finished, and storm season has begun!
If you're in SES and you're activated, or see your local friendly Orange people out and about, let us know what they're up to Pics in the usual spot etc.

To start off, Stirling SES had full unit activation at 09.30 for this rain that's just come in. Not sure what the damage is looking like but I'm scheduled to go out in the arvo.

Can't find my map of repeater locations so can't say who's on what channels, but I'm pretty sure Kalamunda, Mundaring and possibly Canning/Sth Perth or Belmont are on the lower channels.
SES Ch4 is not used by SES...WA Police use it.

Hi,

Going from memory here as well as 15 years as an SES volly who
has done a fair bit of comms work.

Ch1 - West Perth
Ch3 - Martin
Ch7 - Scarborough
Ch9 - Ardross.

I know that Canning, Cockburn and Melville share Ch9
Kalamunda uses ch3 from memory.

I hope that sheds some light on the subject

EDITED BY ADMIN: Generalised the locations.

I thought Kalamunda was 3 too, but they were using 10 yesterday. Ch 6 is I believe the City of Stirling repeater.

I hope the rain helped out with any strikes. One strike caused my equipment at work to crash. Fortunately nothing was fried and a reboot worked. I heard a house was hit in Joondanna

Yes we have UHF, our repeater output is the same as standard Simplex channels so a radio on channel 15 would hear a radio going through the repeater on channel 5. See Nicks post with the frequencies for the receive frequencies.
