Police have expressed concerns for the welfare of a 39 year old man who has been missing from his home in Clarkson since Monday afternoon (3 March 2008).

Edward Charles JONES was last seen at his Waring Green residence around 1.00pm and despite a large search by the police, State Emergency Service and Council rangers in surrounding bushland he’s not been sighted.

Mr JONES suffers depression and takes medication.

A Police Air Wing plane conducted an aerial search yesterday (Thursday 6 March 2008) accompanied by ground party personnel on quad bikes and in four wheel drive vehicles without any success.

The search covered more than 16 square kilometres of bush in the nearby Neerabup National Park and SES and police will resume the search at first light today (Friday
7 March 2008).

Mr JONES is Caucasian, 188 centimetres tall with a stocky build and short light brown hair and when last seen was wearing a pink/brown t-shirt, denim shorts, tan baseball cap and white shoes.

Anyone who has information to help police find about Mr JONES should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

There's not that much Bushland in Clarkson anymore.. the bulk is in Neerabup National Park but that's on the other side of the rail line (so inaccessible by foot). Must have good reason to believe he is still in the local area..
