Gav, Got a version of that one except without the FRS channels.

I'm hearing 6IP on 451.075 MHz http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/assig ... ID=1604073 which isn't in any doc I've seen.
That one might be useful for people with UHF CBs that have extra programmable RX-only channels.

It's a low power repeater link, which is why it sounds a bit weird.

Both the 78 and 164MHz frequencies for DFES/DEC are narrowband, 12.5kHz spacing.

Anyone know what HF frequencies DFES are using in the country outback areas?Ive found some lists on ACMA but they list 100s.

Im not sure but they dont use them much sat phone is easier most of the time.

Thanks pacestick.I seen a 4x4 pajero the other day that had a codan autotune mounted on rear.Not a very common site.

Most of the goldfields-Midlands DOs have it on there vehicle for fires out on the nullabor and such places but most of the time use sat phones.
