Flare Spotted

A flare spotting has just been reported by an aircraft, which has just landed at Jandakot. According to the pilot's report, to Perth Radar, it was a parachute flare which he says was above the TV towers in the hills.

Iknow this might be off topic sometimes people near armadale set them off i have been tald by a person that it might be drug dealers or people playingaround they are stupid.

One would imagine drug dealers try to avoid attention from the authorities why would they be launching flares
randomly when by definition flares attract that attention?

for your info i have a friend that is a police officer and he was saying they use them when they open and close dealing sometimes.but it does make sense what you said.

Drug dealers are obviously more incredibly stupid than I would have imagined! I would assume it was probably someone has the flare and set it off not thinking of the repurcussions or it was a teen with a flare.
