Paging services are transmitted by radio, however, like mobile phone calls they are not solely carried on radio services so would come under the definition of a 'Telecommunications Service' under the Telecommunications (Interception and
Access) Act 1979. It is illegal to intercept a Telecommunications Service where you are not the intended recipient.

Anyway, wrong thread for this..

Metro 2.4s are only based at Joondalup, Canningvale and Malaga.
Im under the impression that malaga and joondalup must be attending other incidents, more than likely at carabooda.

when i arrived there wouldve been bout 8 or 9 police cars parked in the harvey norman carpark aswell as the 30 odd ses. saw appliances from kalamunda, sawyers valley, mt helena, belmont, daglish and the usual suspects at south fires.

just looked out my window and it appears there are a couple of flare ups again, the wind is being quite difficult

i left just after 2300 wat tanker was u in ?
i was relief crew for the baldivis 4.4 and was tasked to sector 2 at the youth camp. however i was standing at control point from 1000-0020

Wouldnt it be easier just to get a pump and tanker there from another station? or one that has a 2nd pump/tanker?

Yeah it would be faster but the 2.4 carries more water than a Lt and is also 4wd so hasnt got the access problems that a pump would have.

Hi all,

I can see smoke to the east but can't tell if it's on the city side of the hills or not. Anyone got any info?

Cheers

I attended the Dizzy lamb park fire today. On the way there i lost count at the amount of scrub fires that had been lit! and it was 6am! Took some pics as per norm, will post later on.

Most southside FRS units plus Claremont and I think Perth were attending fires in Canningvale/Thornlie. If I heard correctly Freo 1st were released from Pt Kennedy and were instructed to attend a 4th alarm fire in Canningvale.

2 fires at Muchea. Once again. Most likely cause is arson. 1 under control, the other still going.
