The command channels are linked together. I'd try channel 55 or 56 down your way (freqs are stickied in this forum)spartacus wrote:I'm new to FESA, what channel can you here most of the Kwinana action on???
The spectacles fire command channel is ch31 and water bombers are working on channel 23.
If all else fails, you can try the internet stream.

It lives on the SES Comms Support Unit's OKA - They regularly turn out 'Lights and Sirens' during the fire season to set it up. You'll hear them call up on 6AR/6IP as "Quebec 38".Tyranus wrote:Not actually SES's repeater...all our repeaters are UHF. It'll be an FRS/BFS repeater thats been given to the SES to setup cause that's part of one of the SES courses.
it was a bit of a warsug get together at the station, with gk doing first aid, walks doing traffic - thanks again for lettin us through walks!- millsy in baldivis lt 1. They have caught one guy on a motorbike. The station has been full for the last 4 days and will be for probably another 3-4 days ! Most of all the stuff is on simplex.

That's correct SES looks after it. Quebec denotes that it's a state call sign, and does not belong to a unit in particular. I'm surprise that it's Quebec 38 though, but the 3# means it's comms so anyone calling in "something 3#" then they're a comms person from there. Ahh well if it's Quebec 38 they use then so be it.Fastlane wrote:It lives on the SES Comms Support Unit's OKA - They regularly turn out 'Lights and Sirens' during the fire season to set it up.
