Major Fires 2007/08 (Structural)

Lets start of the season with this:

Some thug decided to light a fire in a Perth Supermarket on Barrack Street. Landed him in court and remanded in custody till the 21/11/07

Police closed off the street (i don't monitor FESA) and spent there time keeping witnesses a safe distances from the blaze. It took FESA 2 hours to control

And yeah, he'll get a slap on the wrist with a wet tram ticket and let go.

1434 Welshpool 2nd and Belmont as backup turned out to thermal alarm at 103 welshpool rd X leech hwy (google of address is Milne Feeds).

1440 welshpool 2nd arrived code 66

1441 welshpool 2nd confirmed 2nd alarm, Belmont upgraded to fire call conditions

1456 welshpool 2nd state: * fire under control
* 2 hose lines out
* 4 men in CABA
* looking for hotspots

1519 belmont made up and returned to station. welshpool still at scene.

House fire yesterday morning ( wed 21st ) Complete involvement of house in warnbro. Initial reports were 5 kids trapped but luckily a neighbour smashed a window to get them out.

Did anyone hear anything about a fire in Wangara late Wednesday night? I was going down Ocean Reef Road around the back of Wangara just before midnight and there was a large cloud of smoke coming up from in there somewhere...

Water Supply issues.

Dept Environment requested.
Western Power in attendance.
Water Authority notified.

Requesting another tanker and pump - Midland turning out also Fremantle CLP, Fremantle 1st. Requested 2 Water Corp tankers 25kL ea.
Dowd st kewdale. 65 personnel present.

Did they say 6th Alarm?

Daglish 1st to Welshpool station.

not toyota its the building next door which was part of the origonal complex .Can see why they are having issues with the water as my company installed the fire service from the water mains to the building at at the time we commented that it was a small pipe for the building size

Welshpool 1st & 2nd, Belmont, Perth 1st, Midland, Freo 1st

Perth and Freo CLPs
Murdoch SET
ICV
3 DMs, 1 Director
FIO, MLO, FSO

That's around half the metro career resources.

Bassendean Move-up to Midland. Freo 1st were move-up to Welshpool. Daglish 1st now replacing them at Welshpool.

Time for me to retire. Expect a few more stations to rotate through this one, as relief crews are organised.
