Totally disgusting, 2 were charged last week for seperate incidents
One was a 26 y/old perth man was arrested for making a false report which had police/rescue 65 being put on stand by and local fire/ambulance crews dispatched to a car roll down south stated multiple people were injured he made the call so he could get a LIFE home from police.
And another guy was charged for making nusience calls to 000 he was in his late 50's didnt go into detail who he made the calls to though but both people were from perth.

Guys i think this is only half of it.... Last week (Saturday night) - Heard some idiot on Channel 34 - using a GC callsign - It was a hoax - and the operator lady got so furious - the proper GC car said - to VKI it wasnt them.... so yeah this is so frustrating for WAPOL and others... just a complete waste of time.... If only they could track these guys....

Is that idiot still around :S ive heard a few cars using tardis recently so hopefully when its in full swing it might stop that with any luck or maybe they should set up an operation to pin his location but not being a radio expert i have no idea how hard this would be.
I would assume it would be breaking some federal communication laws in what he is doing ?

Your right on the mark there....
He still is out there - And he definatley is breaking alot of laws in regards to transmitting on an Emergency Channel.
Its confirmed, ive been listening in on a few different days on different channels., he is a male - and all he does is hold the presle switch down... then off/on again - then he says like in a distorted voice Ohh MR VKI - and just dribbles shit - he transmits on like for 10secs at a time... sometimes they ignore him, but I've heard him on Ch8 and 34 - so yeah I'm sore the TRG would love to get this guy.....

I heard the female VKI say he has got to have a WAPOL portable... - If my memory serves me correct - a few did go missing last year - don't know how they charge the batteries.... but she was adamant that this person has a WAPOL radio....Markmywords wrote:has this guy got a police radio or somehow got onto the frequency.
so yeah - hmm

Doesn't have to be. The analogue police band is a standard UHF land mobile band. Any commercial UHF two-way can be programmed to transmit on 468Mhz. This is one of the main reasons why the police are going to digital...gkoutlis wrote: I heard the female VKI say he has got to have a WAPOL portable... - If my memory serves me correct - a few did go missing last year - don't know how they charge the batteries.... but she was adamant that this person has a WAPOL radio....

VK6HGR is right any commercial hand held can be programmed to transmitt on these frequncies , and he could just buy a charger from a radio shop , for all they know he could use the radio for work!!
and if he keeps poping up the acma can do something about it , but he would have to TX for more than 10 seconds

I could drive the foxhunting people around!
Tis a bit stupid to be transmitting on a police channel.
Hypathetically,
Police officers are involved in a major TA between jobs 3am ish in an area that is seldom used by traffic at these hours and for some reason or another because of this toss-pot transmitting on the channel at this exact time these police officers die as a result of not being able to call for help.
What charges, if any, is this person up for?
