Its kinda related but not but when you turn out to an incident and going under emergency conditions is that max limit you travel ? IM assuming being a truck and laden with gear it doesnt really matter but curious thats all.

Unit or SOP's may dictate that, or however fast you and your crew members are comfortable with, all this taking into consideration traffic conditions, and weather, you're not exactly going to do 160Km/h down Roe Hwy, in West Swan at peak hour traffic. That's where a lot of maturity and commen sense comes into play...the only maturity and common sense we have really when you think about it :P

SOP - Standard Operating Procedure

Suppose I should put in a couple of Acronyms, these are commonly used in SES:

VRT/CRT - Vertical/Cliff Rescue Team
SRT - Single Rope Technique (part of a Vertical Rescue Team)
USAR - Urban Search and Rescue (Also used with FRS)
EOC - Emergency Operations Centre
AO - Air Observer

That's all of the top of my head

We are limited to 20Kms over the speed limit subject to conditions in our series 4 scania. But she can pull harder than that.
I know SES specialises in a few different things but when we are at incidents the term sandwich eating service gets chucked around when you come back and they have destroyed all the food and refreshments. What does the rest of the SES do apart from the specialist teams?
