DPAW Frequencies

Post by slipknot »

Hi All!

Just wondering does anyone know if the channel list for DPAW is available anywhere on the forum? Can't seem to find any apart from the ones listed in the DFES frequencies list.

Thanks

The ones listed in the DFES list are the correct ones (channels 5xx and 6xx).

"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Hmm Thanks Yorky.

The reason I ask is that I stumbled across this one yesterday 168.95 MHz, didn't appear to be listed in the DFES list.

This one is registered on the Bickley fire tower featured in nine news last night, I must say I didn't know those fire towers were manned anymore, let alone every day during the fire season.

The bloke up there has 3 radio handset intercom's.

I noticed some new ACMA allocations this week with emission designators of 12K5FXW.

Maybe a start of a switch away from analogue or perhaps for a specific purpose/team within the agency.

According to https://fcc.report/ELS/CP-Communication ... EX-ST-2019, that could be for some sort of camera streaming. Have you got a link to the ACMA registrations for those new frequencies?

They have an EIRP of nearly 60W running in to dipoles - omnidirectional. That would perhaps rule out a video feed.

All are premium coverage sites.

Possibly for a specific purpose/Team requiring the additional features of a digital mode.

Could be related to the new GRN being implemented.
Edit: looking at the callsign registered to the frequency, VKW426, that callsign has been allocated to the Department of Conservation and Land Managment.
