I can 100% confirm they have their brand spanking new Heavy Pump. I personally talked to the crew last week and everything is shiny and brand new. They also mentioned that there is only one more Heavy being made and the rest will be Medium Pumps from then on.

They also have their new V8 LT.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Sure it wasn't one of the old heavy pumps? If there was no pump panel at the rear then it is one of the old heavy pumps.

only reason i can think of is that the new pump was taken to O'Connor for maintenance so they were given an older pump temporarily.

It's always been 4. A station officer and 3 firefighters. With the old single-cab SET the last 2 crew used to follow behind in the LRV.
