r stands for rural
U stands for urban

One difference is that the 2.4 urbans carry BA.

yeah sorry, should explain it a bit more.

Our brigade is looking into duel registering as a bfs as well as a vfrs. The bfs truck that we may recieve is a 2.4u. The bfs 2.4 that is stationed in the next district over is a 2.4r.
Was wondering what the difference in setup would be.
any chance anyone has a picture of each of them

Cheers.

More stowage, more hose, arguably higher pump pressure (the piping under the rurals is quite small!).

You are right the Address, Incident type, Map reference plus it give you the incident number plus times when job complete and it also has some other feature like it can give you your position in Lat and Long if needed.

It also tells 6ar when the vehicle is off station, on station, delayed or unavailable and when a call comes through and it is not answered then it automatically goes into sellcall mode and there is a lot of noise made to make everyone aware that there is a call.

We were very lucky, radiation burns to my face and burnt hands from hose whilst extinguishing light tanker. Other crew member had a slight rad burn to hand.

Very scary, wind change caught us out.

All OK now
