Does anyone know what the vehicle ID of 'RU' stand for (as in LT, CP, MPHR, HSR, CLP, SET etc, etc). The CFRS 1.4 that is currently with Dalington VBFB is designated 'RU 01', and i'm not familiar with what it stands for.

I will take a guess and say Rescue , urban only b ecause that is the aim in that they can get rid of the trailers and still attend an accident and leave the pump in town whislt still carrying 4 or 5 crew , if it is the same one as im thinking of

This week spotted 2 large tankers on the banks off the Kwinana freeway around the road work area

One Had a mini Red lightbar n the other had a mini red/amber one had Swan Coastal 6.3 on the side.

Apologise if the info was wrong

That will be the same one that we had at Darlington for a while (RU 01).

Yeah and to an extent I can see why some career fire fighters don't like it. They don't have anywhere near as much get up and go as the LT's, the turning circle leaves a lot to be desired. Better off going the whole way and getting either the 2.4 for Career, or 3.4/4.4 for BFS. I think there were too many trade-offs for an extra 400L of water, or whatever they have in the single cab truck...though the MDT they left in there was pretty cool...

Saw a Brand Spankin New Pump and Light Tanker for Kensington - at the Vic Park Shopping Centre - both look in mint condition - much better than the old pump & LT they had.
