did anyone hear the interference yesterday (Wednesday 22nd) around 12pm give or take, was about 5 mins worth of transmitting button tones, didn't sound like the button was getting bumped.

Absolutely they could - and as best I know, that's their ultimate aim. But one main hurdle stands in their way -- the one that we're all familiar with -- money :)

Sad to say that the DFES encryption rollout will happen a lot quicker than everyone thinks. Watch this space.

It's bittersweet, as it means that we don't get interfered with by these idiots, but also the media can't hear our comms, which is great.

But it also means the end of scanning our local repeaters to hear what is going on live on the fireground.
