Bassendean No More
I'm not sure when the change over officially occurred, but I have heard several times now the former Bassendean career FRS crews now turning out as Kiara. Therefore, with the forced closure of Bassendean 2nd VFRS (along with Guildford VFRS) in October, and the recent relocation of Bassendean Station to Kiara Station, the era of fire services in the township of Bassendean is no more.

Ah.. the end of an era......
I remember going there for a school excursion at a young age. So young that I remember learning about 000 calls while standing outside behind what I would have called the big firetruck, but now know as a pump.
Now I sound like one of those old nostalgic people that I want to avoid becoming. DFES - what have you done to me?
