Fire at Glen Forrest, Great Eastern hwy x Hardy rd. Glenn Forrest requesting additional appliances due to both appliances pumps failing.

Welshpool 2nd just arrived at Perth Airport, missed their call for what is going on.

Apparently ARFF, SJA and PAPL crews are there at the back of a catering truck, no idea whats going on in there however.

Update: 1 Airport Employee with foot stuck in a mechanical device, ARFF got them out before DFES arrived - now waiting to be escorted from the airport

There is a fire sown at Stake hill, shire of murray, The entire shire is turning out apparently, however there has been no sitrep given.
Murray Dep requesting additional resources.

Ibis Retreat is the road that the fire is on.

Fire is encroaching on DPaW land... DPaW have requested air support through the state air desk....

I'm assuming DPaW will take control of the fire since there has been absolutely no comms with Murry deputy and 6AR..

hasn't even been a classification given yet..

Dfes is in control and will be joint managed.
The Skycrane, Bomber 604,610 have been mobilised.

There is a general smokiness around Bakers Hill, and DFES site is not responding.

Anyone know whats causing it?

Edit: Twitter says smoke in metro area is expected to clear on Monday Morning. Is this the same smoke?

The smoke is from a fire located in the SW of the state.

The fire was reported at 4pm on Friday 03 January 2014.
The cause of the fire is suspected deliberate lighting.

Scrub fire corner of Hayman Rd & Brodie Hall Drive, Bentley (tech park). Firies are on scene but I know any more.
