on a side note is it possible to get mapping software to decode the data burst of gps info at the end of the transmission, so we can see where appliances are?
just a thought
While this is probably possible with a digital scanner or one of WinRadio's devices I would not be comfortable with the results being published. It would make it too easy for a potential arsonist to pick an area with poor appliance coverage an light up.

Call me old fashioned, call me old, or just call me a Volunteer Fire Fighter with better things to do with my time than to put out intentionally lit fires.

Agreed. It's just not something that should be public.

Oftopic rant
I agree Arsonist should be treated as the scums of the street. my captain has heard every bloody excuse int the book.
Example the area looked like it had a lot of leaves, i was only trying to help.

No such help for arsonists to tap into FESA range should be taken. thanks colin
