Not to my knowledge, we had our own coms when on operations however it may be differant on a fire ground. I remember we had some VKI channels (not all) in our radios however not sure about FESA.

SES act as an autonomous agency, we have our own repeaters and communication systems & protocols on UHF

The WAERN radios that have been rolled out across SES are dual band and are programmed to receive 6AR/6IP on the VHF zones, however, at this time we do not use the VHF channels.

There are plans within FESA to bring everybody onto VHF, but SES would still not communicate through 6AR.

There seem to be a lot of questions asked, Hold3n. Why don't you take the time to ask your captain at Roleystone?

What a silly response. Suggesting that you ask your captain was a perfectly reasonable answer, since you'll be getting the information most appropriate to your particular circumstance.

Smart-arsed responses, however, don't do you any favours.
