Fire Station Point-Of-Interest file???

Post by Aus_Samurai »

Hello,

Does anyone have a Point-of-Interest File for Tom Tom, that has all of the fire stations around the State (CFRS, VFRS, BFS, etc) that they are willing to share?

If not does anyone have a database of them all with GPS coords so I can create one?

Thanks

You can (or could) get the addresses of all the CFRS stations off the FESA site.

For VFRS, you could look up the WA VFRS Association - they have all the details for most VFRS stations in the state.

As for BFS, good luck, BFS are "owned" by Local Government, so proper info is hard to come by....

I started a Google Maps file a while ago, which can be transferred to various formats. Happy to collaborate to add more locations. There's also a website you can subscribe to or purchase POI files from, though from the info I've seen there, as well as what's on some of the Car Nav devices, there's always a lot of errors.
