Folks can we please keep this thread only on confirmed 3rd alarm (or above) bush fires and leave the general discussion on other more suitable threads. We have a number of people who use this thread on their mobile phones during the summer fire season. They just want the facts as a fire mentioned in the thread may be threatening their properties. Thanks!

Just heard - Possible 3rd ALARM - John Forrest National Park - CODE 8-8 - Parkerville 3.4 called it. Numerous vehicles going.

Glen Forrest Firies being deployed, Parkerville (other than 3.4) - Mundaring and a unknown HSR.

Helitac 670 and 671 - Stood down by Mundaring Dept Chief - Fire is 10 x 10m 13:00

Parkerville 3.4 (Fire Ground) advises to stand down all other units - Fire has been contained - scaled down to 1st alarm. Parkerville LT told to return to station 13:06

That was quick! I recall that John Forrest is an automatic 3rd alarm (I'm recalling this from a while back) so it could be that it wasn't as big as initially presumed.
