Hazmat Structure and Rescue. Its an appliance issued to vol stations that are back up top career stations ie rockingham and armadale or for smaller country towns that dont require a larger pump capacity ie falcon, dampier etc . The towns that need a larger pump capacity get a country pump ie albany vols

The appliance carries all the nec equpment for the hazmat structure rescue roll such as BA sets, cutters and spreaders and chem splash suits etc

1800lts nand 4wd drive. Some photos are attatched here :

Thanks Bomber,

Just out of Curiosity we now have HSR's, but I remember seeing a few years ago a LT pulling a rescue trailer.....is the HSR the replacement?

HSR have been around for awhile. They were originally called GPA which stood for general purpose appliance They hacve been renamed to HSR and the originals are at rockingham, armadale, mnundaring and there is a few i cant remember. Yes they are now replacing stations that have mazdas and trailers to rid stations of rescue trailers. So stations that have the mazdas will get a HSR issued instead

There is new photos on the site of the new style but the web link will take you to fesa photo of one

Check out this thread which covers BRTs (big red trucks). The HSR is the second one down the page.

From what I hear Denham and Wyalkatchem are to receive their HSR appliances soon.

I'm trying to work out what Brigades still have LPs. My list is, so far, thus...
  • Beverley
    Collie
    Merredin
    Wyalkatchem *
    Denham *
    Guildford
    Bassendean
Geraldton (Supposedly to get a CP soon.)
    Bridgetown ?
    Pemberton ?
    Augusta ?
    Dalwallinu ?
    Kalbarri ?
    Wyndham ?
    Wongan Hills ?
    Ravensthorpe ?
    Nannup ?
Any corrections/information greatly appreciated.

Aren't we getting of the subject of major fires here. I'm sure there is another thread that can be used such as appliances instead of this thread
