There is no fire in Ellenbrook. You must be referring to Ballajura/Cullacabardee..

CFS? You're in the wrong state... you're thinking South Australia. Clam officers? Fisheries Department?

Meg, all good, you can go back home. Why were you not down at the Shed? Nice and cool down there.

Parkie Hazmat, there was fire impinging on a shed laced with chemicals thus the DM requested Hazmat.

All mop up at the moment. Wind change/gust's coming at 1am. see what happens. There will be crews required over the next few days (hmm MEG....)

It is estimated 700 hectares were burnt. Unfortunately structures were lost including four houses which were destroyed, several sheds including 1 shed containing vintage cars and other infrastructure such as fences along with livestock and wildlife.

Thanks all for your posts over the last few hours - we've just gotten home (have left the dogs with the parents for now). It's very quiet here which is good!

I daresay there will be some mopping up to do in the next couple of days, at least we got the animals safely out of here for now!
