Bunbury Career I am told will now not get their new UPH or UPHR (debate has started again on naming) until June or July.

Why the hold up?? I'm guessing once all the country stations have been fitted with the new pumps the rest of the metro stations will be fitted out. The replacement process for these pumps (country and Metro) is taken fare to long. I think FESA needs to go and see how the Victorians do it because the company over there pumps out the Scania pumps like theirs no tomorrow.

Just wondering, does anybody have any pics of the Careers FRS 1.4 yet?

Yes, i have tried searching, but the search engine decides to exclude "1.4" from the search :(

Cheers

CobCob,

The career FRS have been trialing a 1.4 equiped with rescue/hazmat gear with the concept of this unit could replace LT's in remote towns, with this appliance attending road crash rescues leaving the main pump on station in town. The last i've heard, the CFRS 1.4 trial unit has been shuffled around various career stations in the metro area, as CFRS dont like it and it will eventually be moved to Christmas Island.

But i would still like to see some pics if anybody has some :)

Thanks

I am fully aware that Midland, Joondalup and Success I think have trialled it. It was being proposed as a replacement for the light tankers in the metro area. The career firies as you say didnt like it. As I understand it finished the fire season at Bassendean Vollies

Perth 2nd was based in Midland for some or all of the day shift yesterday (Wednesday). Saw it parked up diagonally opposite 7th Avenue with the Midland LT outside Slater and Gartrell/Jim Kidd.
I'm guessing that the pump is being shown around the place a bit so that other stations can have a look at it.
