Must of been a fairly big fire though saw it coming over the narrows bridge big plume of black smoke. can recall appliances as far down as malaga, perth 1st anf canning vale attending pickeringbrooke. kalamunda icv now set up and called pickering brooke control 1600.

third alarm bushfire hardinge rd orange grove.
Gosnells bfb, maddington frs, canningvale 24, midland 2nd lt, armadale 3rd lt, kalamunda bfb, dm hills, dm newburn, 2nd on call bfb manager in attendance. May be others
Air ops requested for first light.

Moondyne is west from Lower Chittering, south of Julimar. its a DEC fire

no idea who is there, i know that there are DEC there, and they are using the Helitacs on the Southern Flank, and using Rakehoes on the Northern Flank. (lucky buggers)

and who is Poink??? are you talking about the little dude who is/was in DEC

Sure was a big fire down at Baldivis. I hope to see some pics shortly from those members down that way. I was listening to it on the radio back at the station. The poor lady on 6AR/IP was having a hard time.

the mondyne fire was at the 52 peg mark along the avon valley railway at the end of utah rd in gidgegannup the helitacs were used this morning to put in a control line of water along the edges while dec put in control lines with rake hoes ( haha)

UPDATE: 14:46 - Canningvale 2.4 also enroute.

6AR just advised Success - fire is in Beeliar National Park district??

Was at the Utah fire last night. We got called away from our annual shire BBQ, along with two other shire brigades to go and help. It was a long way down into the national park, right on the Avon river/railway line. The terrain was impossible to drive up, and you could barely walk up the hills it was that steep and rocky. Parky, Glen Forrest, Sawyers Valley I think, East and West Gidge, Swan ICV, and a lot of DEC plus the fire King. About 6ha I think I heard.
