mmm the wind is blowing the wrong way for it to be from that, we have a S/W here so maybe there is something else about, maybe smoke from down south blowing up.

If the DEC fire is anything decent then I think DEC Wanneroo would be using channel 18 for some of the chitter chatter, so if you have a scanner going at the moment you might be able to listen, not sure what the frequency is for it though and I dont think the trucks have changed over to the new radios yet.

was at kids party down at willeton this morning and when we left at 12.00 ,the whole area was covered in a strong smell of smoke and haze looked to be more smokey from the south be could see no smoke plume of any note. :?: cfm from mundaring just confirmed 15-20 hec of pine and scrub to be on fire at trainor rd,80 % of fire said to be contained by the way of an earthbreak being bulldozed around fire i think this is the fire out west swans area. 2.56pm quinns rock lt and waneroo lt have been released from trainor? rd fire and are heading to another fire

DEC had a fire and some burns down south so the smoke around the merto area (south of waneroo) must have been blown up from those fire then.
