Bushfire ADVICE for west of Boddington https://internet.fesa.wa.gov.au/alerts/ ... ItemId=385

At 1545 they were saying it was 50 hectares but that was a while ago and as I drove through Perth CBD at 1800 the plume looked like it was much bigger, be a few hundred by now... maybe much bigger... and another hot one tomorrow.

- UPDATE - https://internet.fesa.wa.gov.au/alerts/ ... ItemId=389

yep 200 hectares now sounds like they should have it sorted by the morning.

The FESA website reports a fire is burning near Perth Airport in the vicinity of Dayana Court in Redcliffe.

This is going to be problematic, as it is directly in line with the approach path for runway 06 at Perth airport, and since the other runway is out of action as per this notice, it could make life interesting.

Last I heard was it was knocked down pretty quick, the ICV even arrived for a matter of minutes then left. Helitak's also attended for about 10 minutes then returned. Tonkin was closed for a short period of time due to the fire jumping over.
