Just listening for the last few minutes I hear at least 10 pole top fires on the go, 6AR states Western Power are very backlogged.

I dare say there are still many, many without power running through the outages on the WP site many suburbs still say unknown restoration.
There were several around my house (at least 4-5 that I heard yet I had power heh) and the problem I saw was that since no one could attend any in a timely manner they all burnt through the tops which resulted in the wires dropping = Western Power come past and turn the power off to await a repair crew. This also resulted in wires dropping onto wires underneath which was making the transformers spit chips as well. Several small grass fires were started under the poles as well.
I know its a hopeless scenario you can't fix them all at once but it was certainly an expensive night.
At one stage 6AR stated they had no FRS stations available, and were sending Quinns and Wannaroo Vollies LT's down to assist.
It didn't help that Main Roads failed to give any suitable updates on traffic light outages, several in my area were out but never listed (all major intersections four way high risk).
