Also try 76.55MHz and 78.3875MHz (Ive heard the Ledge vollies on this one before).

There are also two frequencies for the area on the new VHF network but I am not sure if these are active as yet: 164.55MHz and 164.1625MHz.

I live near Rockingham but dont seem to pick them up. When I go out off rockingham, I normally log on with Mandurah anyway depending where I leave from.

Mandurah 27meg is pretty active on channel 91 (27.81) for log in and out stuff and the standard 88 (27.88) for emergency. Rockingham use 90 (27.90).

On VHF, try channel 16 (156.80) and 73 (156.675) for both Mandurah and Rockingham.

Please excuse if there is a obvious answer to this but I'm still learning. With my UBC93XLT I can clearly pick up 6AR (78.075) which appears to be mainly career, Mundaring region and south of the river. My question is, what is 6IP's operating freq. for around Bullsbrook. I dont seem to be able to find transmission.

52 78.0625 6AR Outer Metro North (Gingin)
57 78.1250 6AR Metro North (Red Hill)
37 78.5000 Chittering (Bindoon Hill) (Local BFS comms, not 6IP/6AR)

164.000 is at Canning Mills (replacement for chan 55?).

Wade, 6AR and 6IP are linked most of the time (as they are now). If you havent heard anything, just means its quiet (or was?)...

What you hear on the Gingin repeater will be exactly the same as what you get on 78.075 (Wanneroo)

HI all I am only newish to this scanning stuff and iv got the list of freq for fesa the only thing i don't under stand is what is this High band and Low band thing i have herd ppl talk about. do i need to program both into my scanner and what is the high band freq.

FESA are introducing a new radio system. The old radio system was on VHF mid band (around 76-78MHz) and will be replaced by the new WAERN radio system on the VHF high band (around the 160MHz range). In the Perth metro area some of the new WAERN frequencies are active so when you hear they are, program them in to your scanner. In the mean time keep the mid band frequencies plugged in just in case you can't receive the new ones.
