Where can I find a FESA (or WARSUG) definition of 1st, 2nd ... alarm?bohong wrote:May only need more LT's, 2.4/3.4's etc, but not another pump. Happens all the time in CFRS world.colin wrote:Buttler have just called in 1st alarm property, arrival code 88.
How can you have 1st alarm, and still need more resources?

Re: General fire discussions
1st, 2nd Alarm etc, relates purely to the number of pumps at a job. You can have a 1st alarm scrubby with a pump, a few LT's and a 2.4, 7.2 etc.
depending where the Butler job was, 88 may be related to a request for vollie tanker for water supply if a hydrant wasnt nearby.
cheers

this quote was moved from another thread because it wasnt deemed appropriate for said thread... now it just looks random and makes NO SENSE sitting in here... soooo disregard the above comment bout Osborne Park.... oh golly
People call me an "Egotistic Jackass"... I prefer the term "Confident Donkey" --->Donks for short

you get bills for dba's in circumstances that I cqn not recall. I know of several places that have been billed. It's like when you call an ambulance.

Check that "Disable BBCode" isn't ticked in your message composition window ...colin wrote:Thanks George. - How come your quotes are nicley formatted, and mine look like something that would be generated on a typewriter?
BBCode is disabled in a couple of places (such as the active bush and structure fires threads) by admin setting, but the rest of the time it should be available and is probably a setting that's changed in your profile...
