Possibly as it is apparently raining up there now and they have cancelled the request for support crews that we received earlier today.

Just read on the other bushfire forum http://bushfirefighting.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=537 of a third alarm out Wanneroo way, any ideas how big it is? sounds like its contained but there are a few vehicles heading up so I imagine they are worried about an escape during the day.

Why did Spearwood Control advise 6AR that they didn't need Air Intel (Which, I think I heard, was turned out due to the fire being in a flight path), but then request Helitacs?
Wouldn't having Air Intel there to request Air Support be a more sure-fire way of getting air support?

Lieutenant = white with blue stripes
Apparatus officer = white with green stripes
