ALERT LEVEL:

A bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people in Hakea forest block 40km south-east of Dwellingup for a fire that has escaped from private property and entered State forest. It has burnt through approximately 70 hectares.



No private property is currently threatened by the fire.

I can confirm that Perth 2nd and 3rd attended the incident on the Mitchell freeway this afternoon. With DM Swan, Osborne Park and then Daglish 1st arriving to relieve the Perth Pumps after 18:00 for HAZMAT reduction.

Update:
18:50 - FLO arrived.
18:55 - Perth 2nd reporting that there were approx. 150-200(?) car batteries with 50L worth of leaked acid.
19:20 - Perth 2nd released from incident.

There was another gas cylinder explosion yesterday up towards Malaga way. Also another fire down at Jarradale.

Welshpool 1st at scrub fire, initially 1st alarm scrub fire.

Welshpool 1st has not bumped up to a second alarm, requesting 2.4 tanker to turn out for water issues as the pump is a quite a distance away from the scrub.

It is understood the man was driving a tow truck when he hit a tree on Toodyay Rd.

A report to police said he was trapped, but his condition is unconfirmed.
