Bombers 608 and 610 have taken off from Jandakot, looking like they are departing via Fremantle...

Helitacs are using WAERN VHF simplex channel 10 for air-to-air comms.

All Air Attack Choppers including Air Intel are grounded during the night. Most of these guys are not NVFR rated but don't quote me on that.

Air Intel can work at night if required. I wouldn't say it has anything to do with rating, just the danger involved would be far too great in the dark (ie, seeing hazards etc whilst dropping).

All the helicopters are NVFR, however due to the casa regs etc they are not allowed to fly at night. Air Intel can fly at night and has done so in the past.

Quick question. At the Success Hill fire last week the helitacs were filling up from Altone park golf course. Given the fires proximity to the river I was wondering if they are able to fill up from the river or is too narrow around there.
