HOT FIRE COURSE

Hey all,
just wondering if any of you VFRS members have done this course?
If so what did you think of it?
I got word today that my application for the end of next month has been accepted. WAHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its ok, All we did was use fire extinguishers on a kero pan. Soooooo exciting, NOT!

Dont know what hot fire you did helitac but that is def not the HOT FIRE thats run for VFRS or BFS it is 1 & 1/2 days of hose drills and thereoy foolowed but the afternoon of the reral thing on the Pad after this its every metro brigade 2 times a year straight into it with all pads used.
and yes Sinbin its a lot of flaking but 1st time is a buzz if you have a good crew the SO will up the heat abit for you.

i think what helitak_670 is referring to is the structual fire fighting course where that is the only hot stuff you do.

Yeah, we did that one a couple of years ago - it was amazing! I think I've got some photos somewhere...
