Re: General fire discussions
Last weekend I wrote a letter to the West, which got published, more or less stating that unless an arsonist was incapable of understanding the consequences of lighting fires, in which case the community has an obligation to care for them and ensure they dont do it again, they should be not receive the same rights as other members of the community.
I think this was a bit strong but I wanted to provoke a reaction and a bit of thought.
I still think everyone deserves their day in court, its part of what this country is based on, and if we start taking shortcuts we're no different from any other crackpot regime. I also think theres enough evidence to suggest kids and even some teenagers aren't fully aware of the implications of what they do.
Having said that, if it can be shown the offender intended to cause harm through lighting fire, or was aware they might, then charge them with premeditated assault or attempted murder or something.

Re: General fire discussions
They would have swapped their pump over, probably had issues with their existing one so while it gets repaired they would use a spare... which would be HP10, the comms center then just updates the info on to their computers so when they send details via the VSU it goes to the right pump
Re: General fire discussions
VSU?
Thought it was MDT

Re: General fire discussions
It once was called a VSU but they changed it a few years ago to MDT, I'm feeling a little older than I should!
