How can it be a 4th Alarm? These units are always sent is as a precaution.

i didn't say it was it was a 4th alarm, i was assuming to size up the incident relation it being a FESA operations incident as i dare say would be a airport firies incident

When an aircraft / airport incident everything goes under firecall as you never know what is going to happen. Its going to be more precautionary measures than anything, but IF something does happen you always have units close by then the appliances in the bays...

Remember when the QF aircraft turned back because of smoke in teh cabin, both Duncraig & Osborne park was called to attend, however as they got their were turned down

came on here expecting multiple updates on this incident after receiving a news flash. Any more information?

From your list looks like a 3rd alarm Structure response from FRS. They don't count the ARFF resources in alarm escalation. That, and there would be a very detailed pre-plan(s) for the airport.

Sorry Meg, but that appears to be an early report.
ABC News and Nine.MSN are reporting a cigarette but started a fire that spread to the wiring.
