Major Fires 2007/08 (Structural)

Yard fire was 4-4 couldnt find it. Rocko 1st was dispatched there first but rediverted to the shoalwater fire. Freo 1st covering Rockingham station. Someone seen running away from scene by multiple witnesses.

Freo 1st caught in traffic at crash enroute. Rockingham Rd 1k nth Hope Valley Rd.

The dog kicked the bucket.

Was only called as a 2nd alarm so no icv mobilisation. It was the SET that turned out to the call.

Also had a compactor fire in Hope valley this morning.

Sounds like there is a Big fire at the maylands police facility, they are preparing to evacuate the police mounted section to a safer area as it is under threat of fire.

Helitacs have been called in to assist.

Car on fire in northbridge tunnel. Perth 1st,2nd and dm metro mobile.

Vehicle fire extinguished, all others stood down.

Strange sighting this morning... the Bronto Skylift and two pumpers east of the Bell tower right on the rivers edge. The Skylift was extended and positioned over the river. There looked like an abandoned car near by, but it might of been an exercise as there were no other vehicles there (police etc)

Those crews were drilling... until the CLP had technical difficulties. As with everyone these days, firefighters try to be water wise. Thus, there are many drills using a natural water source, and pumping the water straight back into it.

They try and burn Kwinana High down about every ten years. I remember going there is 98/99 and putting out a class room. When I was a student there in about 89/90 the science block caught fire.

Seen photo's from the late 70's / early 80's of the entire wing gone in flames. So their is a history to Kwinana High and fire.
