List of FESA frequencies heard here

Post by vk6hgr »

Hi all.

Just been listening to the FESA channels and here is the list of channels I have heard and what they are.

FESA 6IP

78.3500 (channel 25)

other channels to try which are linked - 30,6,3,24

FESA 6AR

78.0500 (channel 51)

other channels to try which are linked - 57,58,55,52,56

At the moment all the 6AR and 6IP channels are linked.

CALM

78.2500 (channel 17 - doesn't appear to be linked to anything)
78.1750 (channel 30 - ditto)

Bush fires

These repeaters seem to be stand alone.

78.4375 (channel 32) Mt Helena
78.4625 (channel 34) Swan/hills?
78.5125 (channel 38) Hills?

If you hear any FESA/CALM channels not above, post them here :-)

The 472.075Mhz frequency is coming up on the ACMA database as a portable simplex channel. What do they use it for?

I think this ones actually more north - ACMA database has it in Millendon.
Channel 38 is showing as Canning Mills (so probably used by Roleystone/Gosnells/Kalamunda?)

We use 34 in the Mundaring/Swan hills area - the repeater is in Wooroloo.

78.1750 is actually channel 11 and is in Pinjar, used primarily by CALM Wanneroo.

For those that arent aware, all Fire Services (CALM, FRS, BFS) share the same set of 99 VHF Channels.

You'll also find the set of UHF frequencies posted by Glen above are actually the links between the repeaters. Unless you lie somewhere between the sites, you're unlikely to pick these up as they are set up with directional antennas.

Anyone know how FESA get the inital call to each station that is heard within the station house? Is it a landline or two way freq?
Dedicated line hooked directly into the Communications Centre in Perth.
