fire and smoke is heading towards roe highway.

from what i can work out fire is boardered by roe, brixton, wanaping, boundary and up to point that would be edward st if it meet boundry

police looking at closing roe hwy, but short on resources

Roe Hwy near kenwick link is going to be closed in both directions

funny thing is i think they mean tonkin hwy roe goes no where near that area

Eastern side of kenwick is roe highway, as they closing it between welshpool road and kenwick link... also has railline running down the side of it, which westrail been notified off

Does anyone know what rd the kalamunda fire is at, my mate says he can see it along with another big fire... fire ground channel for kalamunda fire 98

i would have a few too, but with the number of fires happening, the possiblity of me being called to a fire callout is rather high

hmmm that fire at roe hwy must be rippin. Just heard from some other station that they can see flames heading towards the other side of Roe- just tuned in, hell heaps of brigades turning out to fires all over...

kalamunda icv has arrived at watterford rd and kalamunda 1.4 turning out. hmmm if we get turned out we will only have 2lt and a 7.2 coz our 3.4 is down at pinjarra

As it happens, I was camping up around the Jurien area last night and this morning when a guy from CALM came through and advised us to pack up early in case the fire changed direction and came towards us...

It was *miles* away when we left, but better safe than sorry :) It also meant that we could get back to the Brand Hwy without having to navigate any smoky roads...

Thanks to all for the updates. Live near the kenwick fire. Can see huge glow , lots of smoke. Big easterly winds at times....
