Another fire - looks like in Connolly... I can hear the firies travelling down Burns Beach Road.

Perth 1st Pump and LT mobile to Joondalup.

Helitacs 668 and 669 on scene at Barridale (Kingsley).

I agree with you GC101, its just down the road from me so I parked in a LEGAL spot and walked up (the area near me they were mopping up, the area north of the park the police on scene said to get everyone away as its still well alight, so I stayed away).

There were many people parking in stupid spots, couple of Western power guys had to park in the middle of the road to go fiddle with the light boxes.

But gosh it came right up to the footpath only a few meters from the houses, very lucky.

A SUSPICIOUS bushfire which briefly threatened homes in Perth's north has been contained.

The Fire and Emergency Services Association (FESA) said the fire started shortly before 3pm (WDT) today in Shepherds Bush Reserve in the suburb of Kingsley.

Shortly before? We got paged to 5th alarm at 2:30pm, so it'd probably been going a bit before then... !

Note the article says fixed wing water bombers - they dont actually use them in built-up areas.

2x Heli's were used, so there info is a bit off the mark on a couple of things I guess.
