Delgetti was first attended by East swan/Gidgie/West Swan, FRS Midland was not called for some time so im presuming its a BFS run incident.

That would explain why so many bfb brigades turned out compared to that of whiteman park

No, it's because it's in a BFB area - Whiteman Park is in the career firies zone.

Yeah, DM North East requested numerous FRS for assett protection primarily in the village area but also for protection of nearby business.

Why hasnt the strike team been deployed to either??? I thought the purpose of the strike team was to turn numerous brigades simutanously as a team to such incidents :?

Numerous appliances were turned out from northern brigades such as Quinns, Wanneroo and i think possibly some Bullsbrook appliances but my understanding would be that most of the available BFS surrounding Perth would be on notice if the strike team were requested???

That's my understanding too - we've been put on standby for fires up in the northern areas in the past. I guess it's a matter of working on what resources they can get to the fire with the most speed.

Are you in East Gidge Rich?

I haven't been listening for the last 15 mins, but was basically out and they're mopping up. There's still some smoke about, but the chatter on the radio was quite relaxed - I think it's going fine.
