Can just make out a red construction helmet sitting in the back - Does the FLO carry/wear one of these?cant be for certain without actually seeing its setup inside and its id number but it looks like the FLO's vehicle of Field Liason Officers car. This person is attached to the BA/HAZMAT section and goes to HAZMAT incidents and any CBR (chemical, biological, radiaton) incidents. Carries some specialist equipment

Thanks WPXZBP, always wanted to know which were vollie FRS, i always thought freo 2nd was too but obviously not.
Dont hear Kwinana (townies) get called out anymore, but usually they get dual turn out with Hope Valley if its in the town centre - only to get stood down.

Freo was the first vollie station in the State. Click here for more info. Other information on volunteer brigades can be found at this site.JG-103 wrote: Thanks WPXZBP, always wanted to know which were vollie FRS, i always thought freo 2nd was too but obviously not.
Welcome to the site firefly.000 - your insight will be valuable and greatly appreciated. Why not introduce yourself on this thread?
We had a situation the other day where at about 12:30am a DBA at the local residential college went off. On our arrival we found out that it was five boys stuffing around (a "deoderant fight") and possibly a bit of smoking went on.firefly.000 wrote:DBA false alarms, now there is a continous pain. Many activations are not faults but justifiable false alarms caused often by people spraying things or burning food and activating the alarms.
Being a teacher I decided that the next day I was going to have a chat to the boys concerned. I changed my mind and gave them a each bill for $1000 ($909.09 + 10% GST) for stuffing us around. They initially showed some bravado by saying things like "I'm not paying this!!!" and screwing the bill up.
They were, from all reports, packing death all day. Finger pointing and each one blaming the other was reported by my fellow staff. After lunch they wrote a letter of apology in the belief that we would remove the charges. I said to them that I would discuss it with our manager and get back to them.
At the end of the day I called them up to my room and said that the manager had removed the charges but put them on a week's probation - one hint of a smoky smell on them and they would cop it in the hip pocket. The relief on their faces and their thanks was sooooooooo funny to watch. I'm glad I kept the "teacher face" going until they left.
All up, a win for the firies!
